1. Placing the dishes. Everybody who sits at the table has two plates for the first and second courses. The knife must be on the right side and the fork on the left.
2. Serving of the meal. The food is served by the property owner, who is the house’s woman, but often it is possible for family members to assist themselves.
3. Romanian table manners:
a) it is mannerly to wait until all the visitors are assembled around the table before beginning to eat. It is regarded bad manners to talk to somebody while chewing the food.
b) It is uncivil to leave the table until everybody has ended the meal.
c) It is impolite to smoke when the other guests are serving the dishes or still eating.
d) At the finish of the meal, persons typically thank the property owner and congratulate for the wonderful meal.
4. Traditional customs:
a) Easter and Christmas are two traditional; holidays in the country. At Christmas, citizans usually taste pork and at Easter, they eat lamb. Traditional drinks and food consist of two chief courses and a desert.
b) At the end, Romanians occasionally drink coffee. Typically, children drink juices. Restaurants are famous the country and people spending a lot of time working, have lunch or dinner there, with their family members or friends.
