Are you organized?. But you don't have to care one way or the other? At least not as much as you might feel. Let me ask you this: Do you feel you are not achieving as much as you could due to lack of organization?

Let's first take a step back to ask: What would it be like to be organized? Things like career and relationships, your home and your goals.. it would be quite different right?

Consider the example I use with clients of the 'organized kitchen'. Picture your own kitchen being totally organized (chance would be a fine thing!). But if it was organized, could you really use it? Do you want it to be that 'organized'. If you did, and kept it so, you would never cook anything. Any food preparation disorganizes the kitchen's utensils, food cupboards, surfaces, etc.

But you've got to eat. So, consider that being totally organized is not a good aim. And that's not to say being organized is bad. The bad part is the false vision of it, the sinking feeling of your life being a 'complete mess', the dread of wishing you could be more organized.

It's obvious. Getting organized should depend on achieving a balanced lifestyle. Life isn't meant to be organized, it's meant to be lived. And living fully requires being organized only to a certain extent.

So right now I'm going to tell you the most important word for modern organized living... That word is efficiency.

Please stop wishing for something impossible. I.e. 100% total organization. Instead, focus on success, even if the edges of your life are kinda messy... That comes from efficiency, rather than being 'organized' per se.

Just like the kitchen example. If you want to accomplish something, you're going to have to get your hands dirty. Get stuck in. Let other areas become a little less tidy. Maintain focus on your ultimate success

Now you know what being organized should really be about. My clients have benefitted from the 'organized kitchen' concept for a couple years now and it makes a big impact.
