There are a lot of films, which are not worth our attention, since they do not preach any message, such as American pie, Clerks, and others. The thing is the present day viewer is longing for the films, which will make him or her think it over, such as Michal Clayton, 300, the Ultimate gift, etc. these films are not plane, they have some messages, they educate the viewer, making use of true to life situations.
In the long run, I am not going to say that we should watch only these serious films, which make us think about our life and what we are to do here. What I mean s that there are a lot of different occasion, when we watch this or that film. However, you should distinguish between those films that worth your attention and those, which do not present any artistic importance.
You should not forget the one of the main duties of any film is not only to entertain the viewer, but to educate him or her as well. So, when you choose some film for watching at home or in the cinema, you would better take into account the following, whether you want just to spend some time or you want to take pleasure.
