Much has already been written on how to profit from affiliate marketing with the ultimate goal of boosting affiliate sales and revenue. And most of these messages seem to preach a particular method of obtaining affiliate success: through pay-per-click or PPC campaigns. This appears to be the most logical solution on the first instance as it is no doubt one of the quickest way to drive traffic to your affiliate site. Without this traffic driven, there’s no way you can ever get your site noticed. It’s that simple.

Assuming you have already settled this portion on traffic generation, the next question you should be asking is: how much revenue can I generate from my website, especially in affiliate sales?

Read the above statement again.

Notice that I said “how much revenue can I generate from my website” and not, “how much revenue can I generate from the affiliate website”? These are two totally different methods of generating income with affiliate marketing. Just think about it: why should you spend all the traffic generating effort to the merchant’s affiliate site without knowing how well the conversion rate would be, when you can actually obtain MORE from every visitor who goes to your website? Makes economic sense? You bet it does!

Therefore, instead of paying for traffic to be driven direct to the merchant’s affiliate site, you should actually have your very OWN website promoting the affiliate product with a lead capturing page and drive traffic to YOUR website. This essentially serves to achieve two very important goals: firstly, you get to obtain the visitor’s name as well as opt-in email; secondly, you try to convince your visitor to make a purchase of your affiliate product either by promoting it directly on your website, or directing the visitor straight to the merchant’s affiliate website right after they have opted into your mailing list. And if the sale doesn’t go through the first time round, you can always follow up with your sales pitch in your email auto responder tool.

Now if you’ve been doing affiliate marketing long enough, you’ll agree that the above method is actually the standard way to go as far as leads capturing followed by affiliate sales pitch is concerned. And that leads to the next question: what else can I do with this visitor when he visits my website?

Think Google Adsense.

You should actually monetize from your website by allowing Goggle’s Adsense to be published on your website. Now you’ll have three great sources of income! But to allow Adsense to appear on your website, you’ll need great content for the niche you’re trying to promote your affiliate product. This is where the problem arises. Sure, promoting affiliate products is one way, but find content for this product to be promoted upon? That’s going to be some major research!

While that maybe the case in the past, there are now numerous available tools online that can help you achieve significant profits from your website easily and quickly. In addition, some of these come with already researched content as well, if you know where to look for them!

Remember this: while it maybe great to try and profit from affiliate marketing, don’t just stop there. There are other creative ways you can easily implement to sufficiently monetize your websites as well.
