If you're in the market for a great part time (or possibly full time) opportunity that pays well, then you can't beat getting a job as a valet parking attendant. These positions are fun and with tips, (besides your base salary), can be pretty financially rewarding. Along with the good pay, the position has other bennies. Such as flexibility, for one thing. At many valet parking employers an employee is able to decide what days you'll work.

It's apparent a valet parking position would be pretty cool. But how do you grab one? What are valet parking firms looking for in prospects? The firms can afford to be quite rigorous when it comes to choosing additional people, because the positions are so well paying. Well, let's go over what makes for a good worker.

First off, they'll be inquiring about what kind of driver you are. Due to the fact that, if you get hired, you'll be handling their guests' vehicles, that's of utmost importance. They will demand that you secure a certified copy of your driving record from your local law enforcement agency. They are seeking workers with squeaky clean driving histories. The most desirable people will be those that have zero violations and no collisions. Am I saying that if one's driving history isn't spotless that they can't get hired? No, not always. Most applicants will have less than perfect driving histories. But the less negative items an applicant has, the better.

Next, they'll expect you to obtain a certified copy of your police record. I don't need to tell you that if a person has a few arrests for illegal behavior, they're probably not going to get the job. The firms are not going to take on someone that might steal a guest's automobile or cash.

Drug screening will just about always be necessary, for obvious reasons. Finally, appearance will be a major concern. Not that one has to be pretty. We're not talking about looks. But one who is seeking to get a job as a valet parking attendant has to come across as a professional. What we're saying is that lots of piercings or tattoos are a no no.

There you go! So if you pass the test, you have a real good chance of getting the job!
