What is a Lo Pan? The Lo Pan is the Chinese name for a Feng Shui compass.

What are the Four Appearances? The Two States further interact with Yin and yang energies again to create four energies known as Greater Yang, Lesser Yin, Lesser Yang and Greater Yin. These four states are also known as the Four Appearances.

What is Wu Xing or the Five Elements? Wu Xing means Five Movement or Five Transformation. It refers to the five forms of energy or ‘qi’ that has properties similar to the elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth. For this reason it is also know that the Five Elements.

Can plants be classified into Yin and Yang? Yes. Small plants are Yin while larger trees are Yang. Those with larger rounded leaves are Yin while those with shape narrow leaves are Yang.

How do you weaken strong fire? Use earth the element that fire produces. The ration is in the process of producing earth, fire is weakened.

How body parts associated with the Five Elements? The kidneys and sex organs are water, liver is wood, head, eyes and heart are fire, stomach and spleen are earth while lungs and large intestine are metal.

What is Sha Qi? Sha Qi is Killing Qi and is unfavorable to our well being.

How is Yin and Yang represented in the Gua? Yin is represented by a broken line while Yang is represented by a solid line.

What is the Lou Shu or Lou River Writing? Emperor Yu saw the pattern on the back of a tortoise that emerged from the Lou River. The pattern inspired the Later Heaven arrangement and is today known as the Lou Shu or Lou Writing. Some scholars disagree arguing that the Later Heaven arrangement is derived from the Early Heaven arrangement.

How do you classify objects into Yin and Yang? Small rounded object are Yin while large angular objects are Yang. Objects with dull or pastel color tone and cold to the touch are Yang. Objects with bright or solid color tones that are warm to the touch are Yang.
