There's quite a large number of wrinkle creams available on the market today. Do any of them actually work? Well, if you look closely at some of them, they spend quite a bit more developing their products than they do on advertising them. Some of them put very little into advertising and have a really good product. Knowing this, you can bet that there's more than just advertising that's driving the research and development and creation of the wrinkle creams.

Now, just because there's a huge number of products and a huge market for buying those products, it doesn't mean that they actually work. Nor does the fact that they have been "scientifically developed" mean they will help YOU. In order to determine if a wrinkle cream really works we need to look at what causes wrinkles and what it is in the anti-wrinkle cream treatments that produce the reduction in the appearance of wrinkles.

Wrinkles are fine lines and more visible deeper lines on our skin. The skin of our face is most commonly affected by the appearance of wrinkles. It's interesting to note that wrinkles don't always appear to the eye as detailed lines, but often reveal themselves in the form of shadows particularly around the eyes area.

Normally, wrinkles appear as we get older. However, aging isn't the only thing that causes wrinkles. Over exposure to the sun can cause wrinkles to appear at a very young age. Smoking also increases the process of skin decay which causes wrinkles. There are other environmental factors that cause our skin to get dehydrated and lose it's ability to stay healthy. It can't retain moisture and the texture starts to decay.

Even with all the bad stuff out there (I mean, now-a-days everything causes cancer, right?), there is good news with regards to skin care. Anti-wrinkle creams have been specifically designed to moisturize and firm the skin, and lessen the effects of shadows. Part of the way the wrinkle treatments work is in the massaging of the cream into your face, which stimulates blood flow and helps start the healing process.

All products deigned to moisturize our skin have the ability to benefit rehydration essential to skin elasticity and tone. Many products have been extensively researched and are the results of scientific and medically developed advancement. Anti-wrinkle creams may include ingredients like Idebenone, and Ascorbyl Palmitate or Alpha Lipoic Acid and Collagen. Very often, good products will contain UV protection to guard against further damage against the harmful effects of the sun.

If you've read any of the sales literature for wrinkle creams, you'll find that they all claim to be the best one. Beware! Not all of them are for real. You should try and find an independent assessment of any wrinkle reducer before putting it onto your face (or before buying it for that matter). Usually it will take up to 30 days to see a real reduction in the lines and shadows. Some products can actually reduce the wrinkles in just a few minutes.

The question may not be "do anti-wrinkle creams work?", but "which product is right for me?" When searching for a product that will work for you, it is reassuring that many great formulas will offer you a trail and may even be backed with a money back guarantee.
